Meet Carly Driggs, our newest team member, who joined us in August as an Underwriting Analyst. Welcome Carly!
What drew you to NeighborWorks Capital?
I was drawn to NeighborWorks Capital because it offers a rare opportunity to apply the real estate finance skills acquired in my Masters of Real Estate program while contributing to a social cause by providing resources to communities in need of affordable housing.
What are some experiences in your career you’re really proud of?
Last semester, I participated on Georgetown’s team for the 2020 NAIOP Capital Challenge case competition where we competed against local real estate graduate programs. Fortunately, the competition continued despite COVID-19 and we ended up winning despite a risky rule-bending recommendation for redeveloping two sites within Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s mall in Wheaton, MD.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I am a big outdoors and animal person. I love hiking, yoga, sailing, basketball, and horseback riding. Before real estate, I worked as an adoption coordinator at the Washington Animal Rescue League and recently signed up to foster a one-year-old pit bull named Jamaica.
