Climate United Awarded $6.97B Grant from National Clean Investment Fund

We are thrilled that Climate United has been selected to receive nearly $7 billion of funding from the EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF). NeighborWorks Capital is proud to partner with Climate United to build a national CDFI channel for GGRF multifamily lending and to engage in market building to ensure funds reach underserved communities.

GGRF is widely considered to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the affordable housing industry, and it is critical for CDFI’s to have access to this funding, because mission-centered organizations will prioritize communities that are often underserved by traditional lenders. We look forward to working with CDFIs to build a channel to ensure Climate United’s innovative multifamily products reach all communities in need. We will engage with CDFIs on this opportunity in the weeks ahead.
