Coachella Valley Housing Coalition (CVHC) recently closed on a $2,244,000 land acquisition loan to purchase the development site for Latigo Ranch III, where they will build 33 new homes for low- and moderate-income families in Brawley, CA. CVHC purchased the property as partially developed lots (subdivision mapped, foundations built). CVHC will use subsidies from CA HCD’s CalHome and Joe Serna Farmworker Housing programs to ensure the homes are affordable. This was NeighborWorks Capital’s first loan to CVHC, a member of the NeighborWorks America network since 2008.
