In Memoriam: Rick Goodemann

We are incredibly saddened to share the passing of our beloved Board member and friend Rick Goodemann. For more than 20 years, Rick served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership, which had a big impact on families in rural areas, a hard-to-serve demographic. He was a tireless advocate for working and rural communities.

“Rick served as a Board Director and Loan Committee member for NeighborWorks Capital since 2010. His deep understanding of affordable housing, particularly in rural communities, provided guidance and thoughtfulness to every discussion,” said CEO Jim Ferris. “We will greatly miss his calm demeanor and insightful questions, and will always be grateful for the benefit of his vast experience.”

“He was a dear colleague, accomplished practitioner, and dedicated to NeighborWorks Capital and the NeighborWorks network,” said Kristin Faust, President of NHS Chicago and Chair of NeighborWorks Capital’s Board.
