Rachel Haywood joins the NeighborWorks Capital team as Office Administrator after working for a local commercial real estate firm for 7+ years, where she oversaw the day-to-day office operations and marketing efforts. Prior to that, she spent three years with a national retail merchandising firm coordinating the successful implementation of merchandising programs throughout national grocery chains. She has a BS in Business Administration & Marketing from the College of Charleston. We asked Rachel a few questions about what brought her to NeighborWorks Capital. Here’s what she had to say.

What keeps you interested in Community Development finance?

I believe that community development is crucial to improving the lives of millions and without adequate financing it would not be possible.

What is your personal mission? How will your work with NeighborWorks Capital advance that?

I believe that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to thrive in this world. By supporting my coworkers here at NC, I know that I am helping to improve communities and as a result the lives of the people that live in them.

What drew you to NeighborWorks Capital?

The mission and the opportunity to be a part of fulfilling that mission.
