We are excited to welcome two new additions to our Loan Committee, which reviews all our loans. This group of volunteers is composed of experienced NeighborWorks network developers and community development bankers who are familiar with affordable housing and community development finance. Joining our committee is:

  • Tayani Suma, Vice President, Real Estate for the Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership, Inc. (ANDP), is an experienced community development professional with an extensive background working in the for-profit and nonprofit development sectors on transformational projects in disinvested communities. As director of ANDP’s Housing Development Department, Ms. Suma oversees all real estate development and asset management activities for the company, which includes rental as well as for-sale housing within both single family and multifamily projects. In this role, she manages a diverse group of professionals that includes core real estate staff as well as a team of third-party consultants and vendors. She currently serves as co-chair of the Progressive Agenda Working Group’s Housing Affordability Commission, and is a member of the HouseATL Executive Committee and is Chair of its Preservation Strategies Working Group.
  • Fred Dodson, Jr. is the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Charlotte Mecklenburg Housing Partnership, Inc., where he manages the organization’s multifamily real estate development financing activities and corporate operations. Before joining the Housing Partnership in 1997, Dodson gained experience directing the Hospitality House of Boone, North Carolina homeless shelter as well as the New River Valley Habitat for Humanity Affiliate and the Montgomery County Community Shelter, both located in Virginia. Mr. Dodson earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Appalachian State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law.
